The term Zeitgeist is from German words Zeit meaning “time” and Geist meaning “spirit” thus creating the term: “the spirit of the times”.
Zeitgeist is most commonly referred to as the general cultural, intellectual, ethical, spiritual, and/or political climate within a nation or group, reflecting the general ambiance, morals, sociocultural direction, and mood associated with an era.
The video below from Google is a “Year in Review” that was created from its most popular searches of 2010.
Watching this video caused me (and probably the 1,360,049 other viewers to date) to reminisce about a year that not only flew by but included some much challenge and change. As you watch this I’m sure each of us could easy compile a list of what was not included as well.
