Mark Twain once said – “Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.”
With that in mind, we decided to try something different – a list of Maine New Year resolutions that you can actually keep. Ready?
- Always keep an emergency ice scraper. And a backup… for the backup.
- appreciate a good parking spot … like the gift that it truly is.
- I resolve to talk about the weather…only most of the time. 4. Treat a good lobster roll like it’s an essential food group.
- I resolve to always wave when I pass someone on a back road…even if we’ve never met… and never will.
- I resolve to say “It’s not the cold — it’s the wind,” at least once a week.
- Find more ways to support local businesses – we kinda love this one!!
And finally, I resolve to remember that home isn’t just a place – it’s the people to share it with! From all of us at Maine Home Connection, Happy New Year
