As just about everyone knows, social media is now (or probably should be) an important part of every company’s marketing plan.  The video below has been viewed on YouTube 1,045,753 times as of this morning, and it is an updated version of one prepared originally in June of 2009.  That particular version has 2,493,004 viewings.

Presented in a both and interesting and amusing way, the facts do speak for themselves.  The growth of social media has been overwhelming and more people are connected online than anyone thought humanly possible only a few short years ago.

Trying to stay ahead of the curve is difficult, yet we have worked hard to incorporate many aspects of social media into our marketing programs.  Real estate is about connecting with people and these tools provide very personal opportunities to communicate and get involved in the community.

As an example, just this week we upgraded our Facebook fan page with new tabs that allow visitors to Search the MLS directly from this site.  There is also a new feature that allows access to “Cool Tools” that are designed to help people relocating to the greater Portland area.

If your in the neighborhood, stop by and visit.
