As the end of the year approaches, I like to take a moment to look back and take stock. Here at Maine Home Connection we had an exciting year teaming up with Landicity, Unity Homes, and Revision Energy to help the sustainable development Douglas Ridge sell it’s first home. Learning about the different techniques and applications of green homes was eye opening and exciting. From conserving natural resources, alternative heating methods, computer measured cut to produce ultra-tight homes – it was a whirlwind of education on our part.
I hope to maintain this growth on green education in the new year, especially as new technologies evolve. If green energy and sustainability interest you, I’d suggest staying relevant on not only new innovations, but also state and federal policies. Many changes are being made which may affect your ability to apply for subsidies and rebates.
