Happy fall! It’s a magical time in New England, and Maine especially. The air is crisp, and the trees set the backdrop of classic autumnal colors. Believe it or not, we aren’t always working open houses and trying to find clients their dream home. On these rare occasions we like to enjoy our scenic home and take part in the traditional fall outing of apple picking.

Apple picking can be made fun of for a multitude of reasons, just ask the SNL cast. Yet us Mainers know there is no better way to enjoy the outdoors and nature’s bounty. So, to help you decide on where to go, we asked our agents their favorite spots. Each of these family run orchards offers something special, whether it’s great apples, scenic mountain views, hard cider, bands, an apple slingshot, or great homemade snacks. So get outside and enjoy this beautiful time of year!
