Maine’s spring market is underway, and the numbers this month are worth a look. The statewide median sales price for single-family homes reached $415,000 in April — up 3.6% from a year ago — and closed sales rose 3.4% over the same period. Inventory also increased meaningfully from March, which is good news for buyers looking for a little more breathing room. That said, well-prepared homes are still moving quickly, and conditions vary quite a bit depending on where you’re looking.
As Mark Twain once said — facts are stubborn, but statistics are more pliable.
